Protege RS-232

Serial Communication

Interface

Provides the connection

of two fully compliant DTE

EIA-232 serial ports to the

Protege system and used

primarily to control external

devices that connect using an

RS-232 or similar connection.

The Protege RS-232 Serial

Communication Interface

is used to interface with

ModBUS, DVACS and other

popular serial communication

protocols.

Destination Reporting

Interface

Extends the Protege PGM

Protege 16 Input Destination

Reporting Interface allows the

Protege system to track the

exact oor selected by the

user and prevent the selection

of multiple oors being

selected or tailgating user

access.

Amp Power Supply

The Protege Intelligent 5

Amp Power Supply provides

12VDC power suited to

powering security, access

control or automation devices

along with large numbers of

Protege Network powered

modules. The Intelligent 5

Amp Power Supply uses

the Protege exible module

network architecture allowing

large numbers of modules to

be connected to the Protege

system over the RS-485

Based Network.

Protege Temperature

and Humidity Sensor

Extends the Protege System

by providing temperature,

humidity and dew point

readings that can be used

for building automation and

control or environmental

alarms. The Protege

Temperature and Humidity

Sensor can monitor the

environmental conditions of

highly critical areas, and the

data used to control the air

conditioning and maintain

regulated conditions. The

Protege system can also use

this data to trigger reportable

alarms when normal operating

conditions are exceeded to

enable a prompt response to

any problems.

The Protege Temperature and

Humidity Sensor can also be

used in a standalone mode

providing all capabilities with

the exception of reporting and

data logging.
